Health

Tracking weight, sleep, mood, and the year-long health heatmap.

What can I track in the health section?

Weight, sleep hours, energy level (1–5), mood, workouts, water intake, and custom metrics you define yourself. Each entry is date-stamped and graphs over time. Health integrates with the journal — mood logged in a weekly entry shows on the health heatmap too.

Can I set health goals like losing weight?

Yes — set targets with a start date and target date, and see progress bars plus a projected path. Examples: 'weigh 75kg by Dec 2026', 'sleep 7.5+ hrs for 30 days', 'run 1000km in 2026'. Goals can pin to your life calendar as milestones.

What does the health heatmap show?

A year-long grid (one cell per day) colored by your overall health score for that day — a blend of sleep, energy, workout, and mood. Darker = healthier. Patterns jump out: winter dips, workout streaks, post-travel recovery. Click any cell for the full day's entry.

Is my health data private?

Yes — same as the rest of your data. Never sold, never used for ads, never used to train AI. With account: encrypted in Firebase. Without account: lives only in your browser. We're building a life planner, not a data broker.

Which health metrics are supported by default?

Weight (kg/lb), sleep (hours), energy (1–5), mood (10 emojis), workouts (type + duration), water (liters/oz), steps (count), and resting heart rate. Plus any custom metrics you add yourself. All optional — track what matters to you, ignore the rest.

Does Lifeplanr sync with Apple Health or Google Fit?

Not yet — on the roadmap, but not shipping. Today you log manually. Many users find that manual logging is a feature, not a bug — the 10-second ritual of checking in is part of what makes the data meaningful. Native HealthKit integration requires an App Store app, which is queued up.

Can I add custom health metrics?

Yes — Health → Settings → Add Custom Metric. Give it a name, unit, and input type (number, scale 1–5, checkbox). It then appears in your daily log and graphs like the built-ins. Examples: blood pressure, meditation minutes, pain level.

Is menstrual cycle tracking supported?

Basic tracking via a custom metric works today (mark cycle days, log symptoms). A dedicated cycle-tracking UI with predictions and ovulation estimates is on the roadmap. For now, many users build a custom metric setup and export data periodically.

Can I export health data to share with my doctor?

Yes — Health → Export → CSV or PDF. Choose date range and which metrics to include. Useful for medical appointments, nutritionist reviews, or personal records. PDF formats cleanly; CSV is better if your doctor uses a spreadsheet.

How do Health goals differ from Habits?

Habits track whether you did something (binary: logged or not). Health tracks a measurement (weight, sleep hours, energy). Overlap: a 'drink 2L water' habit is binary — did you or didn't you — while 'water intake' in Health tracks the actual liters. Many people use both.

Does Lifeplanr work with Apple Watch or Fitbit?

Not directly — Health data is logged manually for now. We're prioritizing Apple HealthKit integration for our future native iOS app. Most users find the manual log takes <30 seconds/day for weight, sleep, mood, and prefer the conscious-check-in feel.

Can I track menstrual cycle?

Yes via custom metrics — add a 'cycle day' metric and log daily. Dedicated cycle-tracking UI with predictions is on the roadmap. For now, custom metrics handle the basics; for clinical-grade tracking pair with Clue or Flo and use Lifeplanr for the broader life context.

How do I export my health log for my doctor?

Health → Export → PDF or CSV. Pick a date range. The PDF formats by metric with charts so a doctor can scan it in 2 minutes. Some users print the last-quarter view before annual checkups.

Does Lifeplanr work for chronic condition management?

Yes for personal monitoring — many users with diabetes, fibromyalgia, or chronic pain track symptoms via custom metrics + see year-long heatmap to spot triggers. We're not a medical-device replacement and don't claim diagnostic accuracy. Pair with your doctor's recommendations.
