Free vs Pro, yearly savings, household, and how to cancel.

What's the difference between free and Pro?

Free: life calendar, weekly journal (3 photos/entry), basic people tracker, no cloud sync. Pro ($4.90/mo or $39/yr): everything else — travel planner, finance, habits, health, 10 photos per entry, cloud sync across devices, household mode, export to PDF, and the life-calendar print poster. 14-day free trial on signup, no credit card.

Is the yearly plan worth it?

$39/year vs $4.90 × 12 = $58.80/year, so you save $19.80 (34%). Pays for itself in 7 months. Most users who stick past the trial go yearly. Both come with the same features and a 14-day refund window.

Is there a family or household plan?

Yes — Household mode lets up to 5 members share one Pro subscription. One ledger for shared finances, shared travel trips, each person keeps their own journal and calendar. Included with any Pro plan at no extra cost.

How do I cancel my subscription?

Profile → Manage Subscription → Cancel. Takes effect at the end of the current billing period — you keep Pro access until then. No questions asked, no retention tricks. Your data stays accessible on the free tier after downgrade.

Is there a student discount?

Yes — 50% off Pro with a verified .edu email or student ID upload. Email support@lifeplanr.app from your student address for the discount code. Valid for the length of your studies; we re-verify annually.

Do you offer a lifetime plan?

Not currently. Lifetime plans tend to misalign long-term incentives (no recurring revenue → less product investment). If this changes, we'll announce it. For now, the yearly plan at $39 is the best value.

What payment methods do you accept?

Credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, Amex), Apple Pay, Google Pay, and SEPA direct debit in EU countries. PayPal on the roadmap. All payments handled by Stripe — we never see or store your card details.

Can I get a refund?

Yes — no-questions-asked refund within 14 days of any purchase (monthly, yearly, family). After that, we prorate if you cancel mid-year for a specific reason (device loss, medical, etc.) — contact support and we'll sort it.

Is there a free trial?

Yes — every new account gets 14 days of Pro, free, no credit card required. Full access to every feature during the trial. After 14 days you either upgrade to keep Pro features or revert to the free plan (calendar, journal, basic people) — your data stays either way.

Can I gift a Pro subscription to someone?

Yes — Profile → Gift Pro → enter recipient email + length (3/6/12 months). They get a code. Common gift for new parents (life calendar feels powerful when life feels in flux), graduation, or 30th-birthday milestones.

Are there regional prices for non-EU/US?

What happens if my card declines mid-subscription?

Stripe retries 4 times over 7 days. We email you each time. After 7 days of failure, Pro pauses (you keep Calendar + Journal free). Update payment method in Profile → Manage Subscription to resume Pro within 30 days without losing data.

When should I pick monthly vs annual?

Monthly: trying things out, less than 6 months commitment, expecting major life change. Annual: confident after 1+ months of use, 34% savings is real money, wants to lock in current price. The annual plan pays for itself in 7 months — past that, monthly is just paying more.
